While photographing The Singleton Ranch in New Mexico for his book "The American Quarter Horse", the horse herd turned and went down into a small valley. Some horses were in the light, some were in the shadow. There was dust everywhere creating this unreal scene. David almost couldn't run the camera long enough to capture this unbelievable moment.
