The Wrangler Canvas Print
Bubba Smith, the wrangler, waits for the remuda to settle and the dust to fall while the light comes up. The cowboys call out the names of the horses they will ride for the day's work. It is cool and damp at five in the morning. By 10 o'clock it will be 114 degrees and the air will be as thick as a steam room. With no shade for 100 miles, the cow work won't be finished until September. West Texas.
